Great Fountain Geyser on a stormy day.
The Great Fountain Geyser is a fountain-type geyser located in the Firehole Lake area of Lower Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. It is the only predicted geyser in the Lower Geyser Basin.
I love the color of the water that surrounds this geyser...it's almost a pearl color.

Didn't help that my last trip was with another photographer who is almost exclusively into wildlife. Landscapes were way down on his priority list. I consider myself mostly a landscape photographer but I do like to dabble in wildlife on occasion. I can quickly get "chilled" on it though. And, you're certainly right about the crowds.

Yeah you can get caught up with the wildlife thing. The last of our trip I kind of chilled about the wildlife stuff (nothing was moving anyways) and did landscapes. It was as much more relaxing trip and hey you don't don't have to fight the crowds to take landscape shots! :) Yellowstone has so much to offer.....I wished I would have done more of that.....next time I'm going to try and chill again and work on the landscapes more. Trying to find the wildlife gets a little tiring with all the driving after awhile.
