A wide 3:1 panoramic image from the Koppelpoort, a city gate in the town of Amersfoort in the Netherlands. It is a combination of a land and water gate. The name is probably derived from the East Middle Dutch word Koppel which means common pasture. The area outside the Koppelpoort was a communal area and was called the Koppel.
