It's what the Spanish use to call it meaning French Hair......it was meant as an insult to the French........course the French had names for it that was an insult to the Spanish......all kinds of stories on this beautiful stuff that graces the trees on Caddo Lake.

I agree with Marcia that it is mysterious but haunting and yet beautiful. I really like the way you photograph these bayous Lana. You bring out the best and most interesting aspects.

Thanks Thomas. It is haunting and I would have never guessed that I would have enjoyed it so much, but it was probably the most beautiful place I have been too....just loved it!
